Who Am I?
My name is Jennifer, and I am an anthropologist, nutritionist, and educator dedicated to deconstructing harmful health narratives. I hold bachelor's degrees in Anthropology and Philosophy + Religion, master's degrees in Applied Biomedical Anthropology as well as Integrative & Functional Nutrition with specializations in Culinary Nutrition and Psychosomatics. I am currently a PhD candidate (ABD) where my decolonial research examines the impact of capitalistic digital landscapes and their impact on eating disorders + body dysmorphia and iatrogenic practices. I am currently a CNS Candidate offering medical nutrition therapies where I specialize in eating disorders and psychosomatic healing, and health + wellness coaching where I focus on sustainable habits integrated into your life through empowerment in existential well-being. However, my 15 years of experience in health and wellness have led me to specialize in specializations - I end up seeing people that are dismissed by other providers. As a USMC veteran, I know first hand what it feels like to be gaslit and ignored by medical care systems and I refuse to treat other human beings that way. This is a safe spaceship. I use my interdisciplinary expertise to empower you through your experiences with food, movement, and existence.
